FARGO — A North Side Conversation on regional workforce development initiatives will take place from 7 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3, at Broadway Station, 1461 Broadway N. It's the second in a series of public forums organized by District 44 legislators Rep. Josh Boschee, Rep. Karla Rose Hanson and Sen. Merrill Piepkorn.
The conversation will focus on the ways that local and state entities are addressing the need to fill tens of thousands of open jobs in Fargo, the Red River Valley and throughout the state.
The North Side Conversation on regional workforce development initiatives will include the following panelists:
Michelle Kommer, commissioner, ND Department of Commerce.
Jason Ehlert, president, ND Building Trades Unions Council.
Patrick Mineer, CEO and founder, Golden Path Solutions.
Denise Jonas, director, Cass County Career and Technical Education Virtual Center.
Tifanie Gelinske, senior vice president of workforce development, Greater Fargo Moorhead EDC.
Additional North Side Conversations will be held this winter and spring on other topics including advancements in behavioral health, affordable housing and local responses to vaping.
