MINNEAPOLIS — Xcel Energy announced a new set of voice actions for Google Assistant on Monday, May 13, including one that will allow customers to pay their bill by speaking to their device.
Customers can access their account, hear their account balance or due date and make a bill payment by speaking to Google Assistant-enabled devices. The assistant is available on many devices, including Google Nest Hub, Google Home, Google Home Mini or through the app on iPhone or Android devices. Once Xcel Energy and assistant accounts are linked, a customer can hear account information and make a payment by stating, "OK Google, pay my energy bill."
