A Moorhead youth is accused in Clay County District Court of damaging two cars earlier this week.

Jeramiah James Thompson, 16, 1203 4th Ave. S., is charged with one count of first-degree criminal damage to property, one count of minor consuming alcohol and one count of possessing alcohol.

According to court documents:

Moorhead police received two car vandalism reports Wednesday night. A windshield was broken in both cases and police found shoe prints on the vehicle's hood.

The prints appeared to be from the same pair of shoes.

An officer on patrol later spotted Thompson and arrested him after noticing his shoe prints matched those on the cars.

The youth told police he broke the windshields because he was angry, the documents said.

Moorhead police said earlier this week that after his arrest the youth bragged he had damaged about two dozen other vehicles.

A police report quoted the boy as stating that he "loved destruction and destroying stuff."
