Fargo Moorhead Area Youth Symphonies board of directors elected officers for the 2005-06 school year.
They are Doug Neill, president; Robert Schieffer, vice president; Carole Nelson, secretary; and Sam Wai, treasurer.
New board members are Sandi Adams, Christian Eggert, Joy McCormick and Leigh Wakefield. They join current board members Snyder Gokey, Debora Harris, Julie Heuer, Daniel Italiano, Denise Paulson and Marla Wagenman.
The Youth Symphonies is a nonprofit organization that serves the area's junior and senior high students and offers them an opportunity to develop their musical skills beyond the classroom.
Open auditions are held twice a year and applicants can call (701) 388-4536 for more information.
