McNutt fans 14 batters to lead RedHawks past St. Paul

ST. PAUL--Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks starter Trey McNutt struck out 14 batters to help lead his team to an 8-4 victory against the St. Paul Saints on Saturday in American Association baseball before 8,625 at CHS Field.

McNutt (6-7) allowed three earned runs on six hits in seven innings, while walking two batters, to earn the victory. The RedHawks (46-38) snapped a two-game losing streak. Tim Colwell paced the F-M offense, going 2-for-5 with four RBIs and a run scored.

Keury De La Cruz, Devan Ahart, Yhoxian Medina and Quinn Irey all added two his each for the RedHawks. F-M is 2 1/2 games behind Gary SouthShore (48-35) for first place in the North Division. The Saints (49-37) are a half game behind Gary.
