PHILADELPHIA - Carson Wentz fans will need to wait a little longer to see their favorite player on the field.

Philadelphia Eagles coach Doug Pederson confirmed Wednesday, Sept. 12, that Nick Foles will start at quarterback for the team at Tampa Bay on Sunday. Pederson told the media Wednesday morning Wentz has yet to be cleared for contact.

The 25-year-old Bismarck Century and North Dakota State product has shown strides in recovering from the knee injury he sustained last year that forced him to sit out the Eagles’ Super Bowl playoff run. Foles filled in for Wentz during the playoffs and in last week’s season opener, an 18-12 victory over Atlanta.
