Showers in the region this weekend
Thu Sep 29 13:05:59 EDT 2022
Showers move into the western Dakotas keeping temperatures much cooler there compared to the rest of the region. Temperatures could even reach into the 80s for parts of southern and southeastern South Dakota. I'm seeing a fairly pleasant day for Minnesota and Wisconsin. A few showers may sneak into the Red River Valley throughout the day.

Most of us will have a dry Sunday, but there will be a few lingering showers or sprinkles for parts of North Dakota. You can download the StormTRACKER app for free to keep an eye on the radar this weekend and check hour by hour temperatures and winds for all your outdoor activities.

Showers to kick off this fall weekend
Thu Sep 22 12:26:57 EDT 2022
Showers will move across eastern parts of the Dakotas and into Minnesota on Friday. While precipitation doesn't appear to stay heavy or even moderate, I'm still seeing periods of showers to last throughout the day. I'm seeing a chance of showers mainly across northern and north-central Minnesota and into Wisconsin. The Dakotas look dry Saturday with a little wind picking up out of the northwest. High pressure will build back into the Northern Plains on Sunday.

Scattered showers bring some interruptions to the weekend
Thu Sep 15 11:26:30 EDT 2022
This weekend is shaping up to have generally lighter winds. We've had a breeze for parts of the area to finish out the work week, but both Saturday and Sunday will have light breezes here and there.

Temperatures will be cool for northern and northeastern parts of North Dakota and up into extreme northwestern Minnesota. A few scattered showers and an occasional rumble can't be ruled out. Saturday is not shaping up to be a washout, but any outdoor plans should have a back up.

Cooler and quiet weekend
Thu Sep 08 12:53:03 EDT 2022
A cold front will keep most of the region cool to finish off this work week. Behind the front I'm seeing showers linger for eastern Minnesota and across Wisconsin Friday. The Red River Valley and most of the Dakotas will stay dry Friday.

Our high temperatures will be much cooler this weekend behind this cold front. Highs will top off in the 60s to lower 70s for most of the region.

Dry Labor Day with chilly temperatures for parts of the region
Thu Sep 01 12:47:30 EDT 2022
A cold front will sweep across the region drawing in cooler air to stick around for the holiday weekend. Winds will pick up behind the front on Friday. Expect a north and northwest breeze for most of the Northern Plains and Upper Midwest. Here's your Labor Day weekend forecast.

Warming up with a few showers and thunderstorms
Thu Aug 25 12:21:47 EDT 2022
Clouds will linger through parts of northern South Dakota and much of North Dakota on Friday. A slow moving disturbance aloft will bring a chance of showers and some thunderstorms to slowly push eastward across this area during the day. The showers and storms look to move into the Red River Valley later on Friday into Friday night.

Isolated thunderstorms can't be ruled out for the eastern Dakotas and parts of Minnesota on Saturday.

On Sunday, winds will still be out of the south for most of Minnesota. Sustained winds will be close to 10-15 mph with gusts up to 20 mph. Winds look to shift across central and western parts of the Dakotas.

A cloudy start to the weekend
Thu Aug 18 16:15:42 EDT 2022
This week ends with more rain chances and clouds for the afternoon, as the low pressure system keeps making its way to the east. Highs will be on the cooler side due to the clouds in the 70s for most of the region.

By Sunday we see a lot of those clouds move out and the sunshine make a return for the region. With that temperatures increase to back into the 80s for a large part of the region.

Light winds for most with hot temps for some this weekend
Thu Aug 11 15:04:06 EDT 2022
Most of the region will stay partly sunny to mostly cloudy on Saturday with lighter winds. A few showers and thunderstorms will be possible in the Dakotas, but a better chance of thunderstorms arrives Saturday night for North Dakota.
