We request that notices of death come from an official source, such as a funeral home. If provided by a friend or family member, we do require the name of the funeral home or crematorium handling arrangements. Only one notice will be published at no charge for the deceased living in or formerly from our circulation area. Please be sure to include the name of the deceased, date of birth, age, city of residence, when and where he or she died, and the name and city of the funeral home handling the arrangements. Death notices are free as long as they are submitted through our Digital Obituary Service website. If the notice is submitted any other way, this will result in a $5 fee.

Paid Obituaries

All obituaries are paid advertisements. The charge for obituaries is $20 per column inch if submitted through our Digital Obituary Service website. The charge for obituaries submitted any other way is $25 per column inch. All obituaries will print in the Forum and also be posted on the Forum website. The minimum charge for any obituary is $100 when submitted through our Digital Obituary Service website or $125 if submitted by another method. Only photos of the deceased are allowed in an obituary. Obituaries must be prepaid, charged to a credit card or billed to a funeral home. Obituaries can run an additional time at 50 percent off (within a seven-day period).
