Russell Delorme, 71, Moorhead, MN, died Thursday, May 25th, 2023.

Margaret “Peggy” Yvonne Maki died peacefully on May 15, 2023. Peggy was born on October 25, 1937, in Spruce Grove Township, Minnesota, to Berger and Esther (Faaberg) Mickelson. The youngest of 11 children and the last of them to survive, Peggy enjoyed growing up in a large and loving family. Peggy graduated from Frazee High School in 1955 and went on to school in Minneapolis. Peggy was raised in the Lutheran faith. She was confirmed and married at Bethany Lutheran Church, and she maintained her faith and devotion throughout her life. Her time with her bible study group meant a lot to her.

David Gausman, a loving husband, son, father, grandpa, and friend, left this earth on May 16, 2023.

Connie Schmidt passed away on Mother’s Day May 14, 2023 at the age of 78. Born Christmas Day 1944 to Alois and Lucy (Gaida) Sowada in St. Cloud, MN, she was the oldest of 3 girls. She married Lloyd Schmidt in August of 1966, being able to celebrate more than 56 years with him. She was a homemaker and teacher, graduating high school from Cathedral in St. Cloud, and college from St. Benedict’s in St. Joseph, with a Latin/History major, and ultimately obtaining her Special Education certification. She went on to teach at multiple school settings including middle and high schools, Universities, and remote-learning programs for children in geographies too remote to be able to attend a school in person. She was also active in her churches as a lector and extraordinary minister of the eucharist. Her hobbies included needlepoint, reading, and being at the lake with family and she almost always was able to work news about her children and grandchildren into a conversation . She was preceded in death by her mother, father and sister Elizabeth. She is survived by her husband of 56 years Lloyd Schmidt, her children Brian (Michelle), Jeff (Brooke), and Jennifer, as well as grandchildren Rachel, Lauren, Calvin, Emmery and Carl Schmidt.

Clyde David Staus, 70, passed away on May 16 surrounded by his family.

Phyllis Ann (Ristuben) Kloster, age 89, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, formerly of Fargo, ND passed away peacefully on May 3, 2023 at Woodland Hill Senior Living in Hudson, WI, where she had resided for the last year. She was born on August 29, 1933 to Olaf and Olga Ristuben. She lived in Gwinner, ND until her high school years when the family moved to Moorhead, MN. Phyllis earned a degree in Home Economics from St. Olaf College and worked as a teacher before starting her family.
