Lia J. (Linda) Berg passed away Friday, October 19, 2018, in Moscow, Idaho.
Lia was born August 19, 1940, in Fargo, N.D., to Elmer Berg and Dolores Able Berg. She was raised in Fargo and graduated from Fargo Central High School in 1958. She then traveled west, eventually settling in Idaho, where she graduated from the University of Idaho in Moscow, ID, in 1988, with a degree in General Studies and Native American Studies.
Lia delighted in the wonder and joy of raising her two sons, Thane and Brandon, and was always eager to befriend a child in need. She reveled in Idaho’s natural rugged beauty and its wildlife. She loved all animals, especially her own dogs, cats and horses.
Lia is survived by her son, Brandon Lever, Boise, Idaho; grand-daughter, Rae Lloyd Lever, San Francisco, Ca; brother, Richard Berg, Fargo, N.D.; niece, Karen Berg-Smith, Larkspur, Ca; and nephew, David Berg, Austin, Tx.
She was preceded in death by her son, Thane Berg; brother, Jerry Berg; and her parents.
