Brian Pimm, age 60, passed away October 13, 2018, at Moorhead Rehabilitation and Healthcare.
Brian was born June 30, 1958, in The Bronx, New York, New York, St. Francis Hospital. He grew up in New York City and worked in his family's restaurant. He was an accomplished chef having attended the Culinary Institute of America (CIA). He was an honorary graduate.
He left New York several years ago and traveled the country surviving with his "street smarts."
Brian was afflicted with alcoholism and schizophrenia at an early age. He was in and out of institutions up until about 2008. At that time he became involved in community based 12 step programs and started his journey in long term recovery. It was Brian's goal to pass away sober. He did with 10 years of continuous sobriety.
He was outgoing, friendly, caring, nurturing, loving, intelligent, creative, unselfish, dynamic, and well loved in the community.
Brian is preceded in death by his parents, Rita (Johnson) and Ronald Pimm. He is survived by his sisters, Elaine Brust, Kathleen Cordara, Barbra Scheidt; and his brother, Ronald Pimm Jr.
