Barbara Trittin

Barbara Trittin, 83 of Fargo, ND, formerly Lidgerwood, ND passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Bethany Nursing Home in Fargo. Visitation Sunday, December 23, 2018 from 12-1 pm followed by a memorial service at 1:00 pm at Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Lidgerwood, ND. Inurnment will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.

Barbara Gail Trittin was born on October 17, 1935 in Sisseton, SD, the daughter of Benard and Clara (Hatle) Dahlin. She grew up, attended and graduated from Sisseton High School. After graduation she worked at the Sisseton Bakery. During that time, she met her future husband, Frederick Trittin. They married on February 25, 1956 and moved to their farm southeast of Lidgerwood where they resided until Frederick's death in 2010.

Barbara enjoyed quilting, singing, baking, gardening, and going out to eat with family and friends.

Barbara is survived by her children, Ilene (Don) Trittin-Anderson of Pelican Rapids, MN, Dee (George) Stanley of Fargo, ND, and Rebecca (Ray) Cervantes of Raymondville, TX; grandchildren Cody (Erika) Stanley, Jerry Stanley, Tony Stanley, Claire Anderson, Katheryn Anderson, Bryce Cervantes; one great grandchild, Shyne Hemmestvedt; one sister, Mary (Rudy) Sckerl, and two brothers, Curtis (Gay) Dahlin, and Richard Dahlin. She is also survived by several in-laws, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Frederick, as well as her parents, Benard and Clara Dahlin, and her sister, Erma Elton.
