Bev Odden

Bev Odden -      wife, mother & grandmother - lived a life rich in memories, gained her angel wings and is now at peace at the age of 70 years old.

Beverly JoAnn Odden was born on April 8, 1950 and grew up in the Hazelton, ND area.

Bev married the love of her life, Tom Odden, on September 20, 1980, and together they raised their family in West Fargo, ND. Tom & Bev recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary.

Bev was wonderfully devoted to her three boys, Broc (Jennifer) Roberson, Josh Odden and Trevor (Mackenzie) Odden. Bev’s pride & joy were her four granddaughters - Kendal, Liv, Leighton and Harper who she loved “to the moon & back”.

She loved celebrating birthdays and holidays, especially Christmas, shopping with her granddaughters, attending their sporting events, sweepstaking and cheering on her favorite team, the Minnesota Twins. Tom & Bev also spent summers at the lake, hosting family gatherings and loved their time on the beach & pontoon.

She was an amazing mother who cared for her family first and cherished the moments with Tom, her boys, granddaughters, sisters Wanda, Dorinda and Lorraine, and many nieces & nephews.

She will be greatly missed by her family & friends.

Bev is preceded in death by her sisters, Dorinda Anderson and Lorraine Fisher, as well as her parents, Martin & Jean Keller.

All are welcome for visitation, which will be held from 9:00 am to 10:00 am on Tuesday, December 15th, 2020, followed by a service at 10:00 am in West Funeral Home in West Fargo, ND.

Bev will be remembered for the love and affection she showed family and friends. She struggled with mental health concerns for much of her adult life and worked to be healthy and live life fully.

The year 2020 brought an overabundance of challenges and sadly, her pain became overwhelming. Unfortunately, there is no cure for mental illness and we pray:

“May you all be safe; May you all be happy; May you all be healthy; May you all live with ease.”

The family would like to thank all of the volunteers and professionals from the West Fargo Fire Department, West Fargo Police, Valley Water Rescue, Salvation Army. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to these amazing organizations. The gratitude for their hard work and dedication cannot be fully expressed. We would also like to thank any local businesses that donated food and drinks during the search and rescue. West Funeral Home & Life Tribute Center westfuneralhome.com
