Beverly L. Schiefelbein

Beverly L. Schiefelbein, age 75 of Fargo, ND and formerly of Grafton, ND, passed away on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at Bethany Retirement Community of Fargo. Beverly Lorraine Uggerud was born on November 15, 1945 in Grafton to the late Arvil and Anna Julia (Freeman) Uggerud. She attended grade school at Martin Township county school until the 8th grade, then graduated from Grafton High School in 1963. Beverly attended Mayville State University for business classes. She returned to Grafton and began working for Walsh County Bank. Beverly met the Reverend Peter Schiefelbein and they were soon married on December 31, 1983 in Grafton, ND. She continued to work at the bank through many changes, 1st American and then Bremer Bank. She left Bremer Bank to relocate to Thompson, ND with her family, after 32 years in 1995. Beverly began working for the Thompson Public School District and loved cooking for all the school children. She officially retired in 2004, when she and “Pastor Pete” moved back to Grafton. She was a long time member of Business and Professional Woman and a board member at Landstad Cemetery. The Schiefelbein’s continued to live in Grafton until Peter’s retirement in 2012, when they moved to Mapleton, ND to be closer to family. Beverly showed her love by cooking and quilting for her family and friends. She loved tending to her flowers, singing, and making midwife kits for the Lutheran Mission. She and Peter were foster parents for many years, welcoming children into their home, when they needed it the most. Beverly’s most important job came when she received the title “Grandma”, which she cherished. Beverly is survived by her husband, Reverend Peter Schiefelbein; daughter: Julie (Curtis) Tackett, Fargo, ND; granddaughter: Aurora; sisters: Jennette Feltman, Fargo, ND and Marlene (Ron) Rasmussen, Ellendale, ND; nieces: Anna (Catarino) Surita and Becky Knudson; nephews: Keith (Michelle) Rasmussen and Fr. Tom Feltman, many extended family and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother-in-law, Raphael “Ray” Feltman. Memorial Services will be Thursday, July 15, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, Grafton, ND. Visitation will be prior to the service at the church from 12:00 – 2:00 P.M.
