Cheryl "Cheri" Vahl

Cheryl (Cheri) Rae Kempema Vahl, 66, passed away January 27, 2019 while at Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls, SD. Cheri lost her brief battle with cancer after only one month.

Cheri was born, graduated high school, and was married in Worthington, MN. She and her husband, Duane, began their married life dairy farming outside of Edgerton, MN. In 1979, the family moved to a dairy farm in Lake Benton, MN where she raised her children Megan & Adam. In 2009, Cheri and Duane made their home in Sioux Falls, SD.

Cheri was an amazing woman with incredible talents. She owned Cheri’s Cherished Treasures in Lake Benton. After moving to Sioux Falls she worked at various floral shops. Cheri was a Floral Designer at the Flower Mill in Sioux Falls during the last years of her life.

A Celebration of Cheri’s life will begin at 11am with a service at 2pm on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Heritage Funeral Home, 4800 S Minnesota Ave, Sioux Falls, SD.
