Conrad K. Grindberg (Connie)

July 17, 1948 - April 23, 2020

Connie was born on July 17, 1948 to Eddie and Edna (Jahnke) Grindberg. He lived most of his life in or near Mapleton. Graduated from MHS. He attended NDSSS for electrical engineering. His work career was 40+ years at Cass County Road Dept. Moved to Leonard in 2008, and passed away at home on April 23.

He married Valira Bruesch on May 29, 1970. Their children Amy and Shannon both live in Fargo. Connie enjoyed spending time with family and Christmas Eve was his favorite time of the holidays, enjoying his granddaughters.

Connie loved music and concerts. He played as hard as he worked, not letting life slow him down. Took many trips with Shannon. Also took his family to Washington, DC. A more recent trip to Niagara Falls for an anniversary.

He loved hunting, fishing, and his dogs. He put in a vineyard after moving to the farm. Put up several buildings. Hobbies included gun collecting, fishing equipment, auctions, gardening and eating out. Fishing trips to Alaska, B.C. and all over the Dakotas, throughout the years.

Connie is survived by his wife, daughter Amy (Todd) Jevme, son Shannon, granddaughters Chloe, Gracie, Lily, and Elsie Jevme, all of Fargo and brother Wayne. Preceded in death by his parents, sisters Alice Heille, Janice, brothers Ralph and Arnold. Survived by four-legged companions Kobe and Vetta.
