David Ramirez passed away peacefully at his home in Fargo ND, with the family that loved him by his side on June 3, 2020, after a 10-month battle with cancer.
David Rios Ramirez was born July 13, 1969, to Paul Sr. and Juanita (Rios) Ramirez in Corpus Christi, TX. He grew up there, then settled in Moorhead, MN and married Chandra (Wilson) Calixte in 1993. Even though their marriage ended, they had 2 beautiful daughters, Amara (Jamie Willert) Ramirez and Noella (Steven Dean) Ramirez. He loved the Dallas Cowboys, playing guitar, and spending time with his brothers, Paul Jr., Rudy, and Eddie. In recent years, his joy was in his renewed relationship with his daughters and grandchildren, Benson, Sareah, and Charlie. They loved and will miss their Abuelito, but will have fond memories of his silliness. David was always known to be joking around, and for rarely spending money on himself, instead making sure others had what they needed first.
David is survived by his parents, 3 brothers, his daughters and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A memorial service and celebration of David’s life will be held Sunday June 7th at 211 1st Ave SW Dilworth, Mn. His family would like to extend their thanks to Hospice and the staff of The Roger Maris Cancer Center for all they did to help him fight the cancer that took him.
