Don Dollinger

Donald “Don” Dollinger, 82, Cheyenne, Wyoming passed away Friday, February 26, 2021 in Cheyenne surrounded by his immediate family.

Don was born April 29, 1938 in Venturia, North Dakota to Walter and Lea (Aman) Dollinger. He attended Ashley High School. After his family’s move to Breckenridge, Minnesota he decided to travel and enlisted in the US Army. Upon his honorable discharge, he went to Minneapolis where he met and married Jean Newsom on October 26, 1968. After moving back to Fargo, ND he decided to attend Fargo Barber college and found another way to travel from Rapid City, South Dakota to Fort Collins, Colorado. His favorite work place was MC Carty’s  “Redneck” Barber Shop. He had many a tale of humor he would relate.

He is survived by his wife Jean of 52 years, Cheyenne, WY; children Lorraine Ann (Joe) Mufdie, Cheyenne, WY, Shawn, Denver, CO, Chad, Arvada, CO; siblings Marylin (friend Steve Reeser) Thompson, El Sobrante, CA, Karen (Dale) Walker, South Lyon, Ml, Debra (Jerry) Brossart, Fargo, ND, and his granddaughter Victoria Dollinger and grandson Tanner Dollinger and many nieces and nephews.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, his twin brother Ronald “Ron” Dollinger and his brother Ellsworth “Ed” Dollinger, his infant sister Darlene Mae, his nephew Scott Dollinger, and his niece Jamie Jo Brossart and his sister-in-law Janice Elaine Dollinger his brother Ellsworth’s wife.

There will be no Funeral Services. His ashes will be scatter somewhere over Medicine Bow National Park in Wyoming. Heer Mortuaries & Crematory 225 E. Platte Ave. Fort Morgan, CO 80701.
