Dorothy Ann Belling

Dorothy Ann Belling of Valley City, ND fought a valiant battle against cancer but went home to Jesus on January 12th, 2021. Dorothy was born in Lisbon, ND on June 15th, 1943 to Leo and Edna (Carol) Nelson. She graduated from Lisbon High School and went on to marry Gerald Belling on September 28th, 1963. They had two children, Jerry and Julie. Dorothy was an avid seamstress, enjoying quilting, hardanger embroidery, and crocheting. What she enjoyed most was her family and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Donna. She is survived by her husband Gerald, son Gerald “Jerry” Belling Jr. (Christina) of Walcott ND, daughter Julie Belling (Alice) of Kansas City, MO, granddaughter Madeleine Belling of Fargo ND, grandson Dane Belling of Wahpeton ND, and her sisters, Darlene McRitchie of Lisbon and Debbie Schmidt (Ron) of Boise, ID. Dorothy was so loved by all who knew her and will be forever missed. We know that she is healthy again and smiling down on us from Heaven.

A graveside memorial service will be held in the spring at Oakwood Cemetery, Lisbon.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Oliver-Nathan Funeral Chapel, Valley City.
