Dustin Peter Mosbeck was born on May 6, 1981 at Thief River Falls, MN son of Peter and Janette (Brown) Mosbeck. He was raised west of St. Hilaire and attended school in Thief River Falls graduating from Lincoln High School in 1999. He attended Moorhead Tech and later Moorhead State College graduating with a degree in Graphic Design. He worked for a short time in Fargo and moved back to Thief River Falls where he worked at Arctic Cat. His life took him back to Fargo and was employed at Solid Signs and Designs where he managed the print shop and had recently taken a job at BNG Teams in Fargo.
Dustin always had a creative vision and was able to take an idea and bring it to life. His eye for detail was second to none, all you had to do was walk into his garage and see that reflected in his life. If anything needed fixing Dustin was the man. Dustin had a need for speed whether it was racing his Yamaha in motocross, riding wheelies on his crotch rocket or driving his Dodge Viper FAST.
He made a friend wherever he went and could have everyone laughing at his sharp wit and sarcasm. He was a great jokester and was always playing pranks. Dustin’s garage was the neighborhood kids “The Possie” hang out. The endless amount of pixie sticks may have had something to do with that also. Dustin could relate as he has always been a kid at heart.
On September 3, 2019 his pride and joy Luxley Janice was born and was the center of his universe. The sparkle in his eyes when he held his little girl showed just how much he loved her. When Lux looked at Dustin she would wiggle at every inch of her body with love and excitement. He had 2 nephews and a niece whom he adored, and the feeling was mutual. All 3 of them would light up when he was around and there was never a quiet moment. Dustin loved to threaten their parents with feeding them red bull and sugar on many occasions.
Dustin is survived by his loving parents Peter and Janette Mosbeck of rural Red Lake Falls, MN; sister Brittney (Tom) Johnson of East Grand Forks, MN; nephews Isaak and Ty, niece Haidyn; daughter Luxley of Fargo, ND; grandparents Veral and June Mosbeck of Red Lake Falls, MN; special great-aunt Janice Earl of East Bethel, MN; many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother Lorraine Brown, great-grandfather Thomas Toulouse, great-uncle Don Earl, great-grandparents Oscar and Ruth Mosbeck, August and Florence Anderson; close friend Chad Varriano.
In lieu of flowers the family would like a donation made in Dustin’s name to suicide awareness.
