Garnet Schander, 99, long time Bowdon resident, passed away at Compassionate Memory Care in Omaha, NE on December 20, 2020, just 21 days short of her 100th birthday.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the Bowdon Church of God on June 22, 2021.

Garnet was 1 of 7 children born to Fred and Lydia Suckut in Kidder County. Garnet is survived by her husband, Gilbert Schander, recently re-located to the Golden Acres in Carrington, leaving Compassionate Memory Care in Omaha on March 1, 2021. Garnet leaves 4 children: Diana, Bismarck, ND, Jerada (Bill), Omaha, NE, Rodney (Kathy), GA and Greg (Linda), Bowdon, ND. She also leaves her sisters-in-law Lavon (Kenneth), MN, and Dolores (Bob), Bowdon.

She was preceded in death by her parents (Fred & Lydia), her brothers, Laurance, Jake, Bob, Donald, Roy, Kenneth and son-in-law Fritz (Diana).
