It was in Orlando that Ron met her, fell in love with her and asked her to marry him. He had recently returned from overseas service with the Air Force and was stationed in the service at the air base in Orlando. She accepted his proposal and they were married on Feb. 16, 1962. They lived in Orlando until Ron was discharged in Oct. 1962 and they moved to his hometown of Luverne, Minnesota. They lived with his parents for a while but then bought a small house in town. She started her life of moving again multiple times in job changes and one stop was Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin where Eric was born on Nov. 6, 1965. Another job change moved the family to Fargo, North Dakota. Jeff and Eric went thru the schools in Fargo and Ron got a job with Milwaukee Electric Tool and Irene was the Mom at home and loving and always being concerned of her family was her main interest.
In July 1987, Ron and Irene moved back to Florida with his company and she then worked for Smith and Nephew, a medical manufacturing company until they both retired in July 2001. They continued living in Dunedin, Florida in the house they first bought in 1987.
Irene is survived by her husband, her two sons and 5 grandchildren, Zachary, Alexander, Matthew, Christopher and Elizabeth and nieces and nephews and families in Florida. She is preceded in death by her parents and one sister and two brothers-in-law.
