Jack Turner

Jack Turner, age 93 of Fargo, ND, died Friday, December 4, 2020 at Essentia Health in Fargo, ND.

Jack Kemper Turner was born on November 15, 1927 in Glenburn, ND to Samuel and Nellie (Johnson) Turner. As a child, he and his family moved to Amenia, ND and he attended school there. After high school, Jack enlisted in the Army and served until 1947. He was stationed in Fort Meade, Maryland.

He was united in marriage to Germaine (Geri) Blotsky on October 12, 1949 – 1974. Jack worked for the City of Fargo garbage utilities department from 1959 and retired in 1993.

Jack and Donna were united in marriage on June 23, 1976. They lived in North Fargo for several years. They moved to their farmstead near Arthur, ND in 1991. Jack enjoyed gardening, taking care of cows, chickens, and horses. He especially loved his daily walks and talks with his best friend, Toby.

He is survived by his wife Donna; children, Diana (Erling) Dinusson, Steve (Kelly) Turner, Pamela Belcourt, Brenda (Craig) Haugrud; grandchildren, Kristofer Dinusson, Erik (Mya) Dinusson, Justin Turner, Joshua Turner, Lucas (Charli) Turner, Katy (Dustin) Moore, Anthony (Desiree) Willey, Nicholas (Kelsey) Belcourt, Megan (Mathew) McWhorter, Lydia Belcourt, Sommer Haugrud, Sydney Haugrud, Carlan Haugrud, Gavin Haugrud; 18 great-grandchildren; and sibling, Betty Erichsen.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Nellie Turner; sons, Jeffrey Turner, Gerald Turner; siblings, LaVerne Tjosvold, LeRoy Turner, Lois Albert, Russell Turner, Robert Turner; and great-granddaughter, Luci Turner. Public Visitation:  Wednesday, December 9, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at West Funeral Home in West Fargo. A private funeral service will be held.

Interment: Fargo National Cemetery.
