Janet G. Main
<p>Janet Main, 81, was born May 27, 1938, in Waukegan, IL, to John G. and Ruth E. (Atherton) Snapp. She grew up in Iowa and came to Fargo as a young child when her father assumed the pastorate of Calvary Baptist Church in Fargo. Jan attended Ben Franklin Junior High School and graduated from Fargo Central in 1956. She then attended Wahpeton School of Science for nursing and furthered her training in surgical nursing at Shriner’s Hospital in St. Paul. Janet married Douglas G. Main on January 23, 1960, at Calvary Baptist Church in Fargo. Their schooling and occupations took them to various locations in Idaho and Minnesota until, in 1978, they settled in Branson, MO, with their three children, where they have since resided. Jan fought a valiant two and a half year battle with cancer and passed away September 16, 2019. She had a strong and vibrant faith and was a faithful participant in her church, First Baptist of Branson, where memorial services were held on Thursday, September 19, 2019. Jan was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Jack and Randall, and one sister, Marjorie. She is survived by her husband, Douglas Main, sons Kevin and Jeff (Tarci) and daughter Kathy Fisher; two sisters, Maribeth Teigen, Longview, WA, and Paula Grosz, Moorhead, MN; eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. </p>
