Larry M. Jenkins
Larry M. Jenkins, 75, passed away at his home on November, 23 2021. In his final days, he often reminded loved ones that “there is no crying in baseball”.
Larry was born in Fargo, ND on October 2, 1946. As a Boy Scout, he enjoyed bird watching, camping, and swimming. A survivor of the Catholic school system, he went on to work as a painter and later for the Burlington Northern and Ottertail Valley Railroads as a Brakeman/Conductor for over 20 years.
Never shy about sharing his wisdom in the form of blunt yet humorous quotes and anecdotes, he was the life of the party. As he shared his stories he always joked that it was his movie and we all had roles to play. He leaves behind a legacy of love, humor, and family.
Larry is survived by his wife of 28 years, Denise Jenkins (Maier), his son Chris Jenkins and daughter Leisa Mondry from his first marriage to Linda Knutson (Lee), step-son Dillon Cihak, eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will take place on December 12, from 12PM to 3PM, in the O’Larry Room at The Biltmore Hotel, 3800 Main Ave., Fargo, ND 58103. Parking is on the NE corner of the building.
Please send condolences to 1431 15th St S, Fargo, ND 58103. Memories can be shared with the family on the Wright Funeral Home Website.
