Les “Hardy” Haar

<p>Age 71, of Minneapolis, formerly of West Fargo, died peacefully at home surrounded by family on September 10, 2019. Preceded in death by parents, Herbert and Frieda; wife, Lynda. Survived by children, Les Jr. “Buck” (Katie), Cory (Peg) Nelson, Aimee (Walter) Doege, Wendi Nelson (John), Lena (Mark) Humphrys; grandchildren, Cody, Kyle, Jessica, Reid, Lillian, Rose, Kurk; brother, Terry (April) and nieces, extended family and friends. Proudly served in the US Army during Vietnam, receiving a Bronze Star and Purple Heart Medal. He had 39 years of government service; 28 of them with the VA Medical Center, retiring in 2013. He was an avid fisherman and loved spending time on the boat with his friends and family. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, October 12th at 2PM at Cremation Society of MN, 7835 Brooklyn Blvd, Brooklyn Park with visitation at 1PM and reception to follow. Private Interment Fort Snelling.</p>
