Lois Rieniets

Lois L. Rieniets, 101, Fargo, N.D., died on Nov. 22, 2020, at Edgewood Vista, Fargo.

Lois Lucille Schur was born August 28, 1919 in Hunter, N.D., the daughter of John and Mabel (Landon) Schur. She moved with her parents to Arthur, N.D. where she grew up and graduated from high school.

On December 24, 1939, she married Henry “Swede” Rieniets. They lived in Hunter until 1953 when they moved to Fargo, N.D.

Lois worked in food service for Fargo Public Schools for 17 years, retiring in 1984. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Fargo since 1953.

Lois was preceded in death by her husband Swede; her parents, John and Mabel Schur; her brother & sister-in-law, Orlo (Emma) Schur; and grandchildren, Greg Hegle and Jodi (Hegle) Sanders.

She is survived by two sons and two daughters, Phil (Ann) Rieniets, John (Theresa) Rieniets, Sharon (Gary) Hegle, and Susan (Lloyd) Ouellette; 11 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

A private family service will be held at West Funeral Home, West Fargo on Friday, November 27, 2020.

A celebration of life for Lois will be held at a later date. Interment: Arthur Cemetery, Arthur, N.D.
