Marilyn A. Cote
Marilyn A. Hutton was born in Grand Forks, ND, to Bill and Dorothy (Hart) Hutton October 3, 1939. She grew up on the family farm in the Red River Valley near Manvel, ND. She left home as a high school junior to join the Presentation Sisters in Fargo, ND. As Sister DePaul she lived and prayed with the Community. She trained as a nurse and served for about 20 years in hospitals throughout North Dakota.
After leaving the community and marrying Roland Cote in 1980 she continued nursing and doing home care. She had gained a family with Roland of nine children! And then gave birth to their own daughter, Robyn, in August 1982.
Shortly after Marilyn’s husband Roland died, she lived with and was cared for by Robyn and her 3 daughters.
Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Robyn (Justin) Funke and their children, Nevaeh, Lexus, and Porsche as well as many other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roland Cote, brothers, William (Dorothy) Hutton and Dick Hutton and sister, Mary Jean Druga.
A graveside service will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Edgeley, ND, at a later date.
