Nancy Ann Erdmann(Munn)

January 10, 1958- April 29, 2020.

Nancy Ann Erdmann, age 62, was born on January 10, 1958 to Mary and Gerald Munn in Detroit Lakes, MN. She graduated from DLHS. She resided in the FM area, attended NDSU and ultimately received her license as a Registered Nurse. She practiced Nursing in Fargo for over 30 years.

In 1981, Nancy Munn married Del Erdmann at First Lutheran Church in Fargo, ND. They had Cheryl and Angela, raised the girls Lutheran and gave them a bright future.

Nancy worked at Eventide, St. John, Heartland and Essentia Hospital. She was a kind, loving, and caring person to everyone she met. She worked on the NICU, caring for all the moms and sick babies, bringing life and light to everyone around her.

Nancy attended Cheryls soccer games, dance line events, Angies sporting events and graduations. She was always there for her family. She was the best mom a girl could ever ask for. She attended basketball, fastpitch, volleyball games, marathon events in Boston, New York and Duluth, and bikini competitions with Angie. She always had her camera, lit up the room with her beautiful smile and laughter. She was always having fun and constantly on the go!

9 years ago, she met Barrett Johnson and made a true connection. They did everything: boating, going to the lakes, cycling, cross country skiing, hiking, traveling, listening to Jazz and wine tasting. Barry and Nancy loved traveling, family time, dining with Cheryl and Eric, the grandchildren and Santa Barbara and SF. She also loved visiting Cindy and Allen on the East Coast and Dave, Margaret, John, John and Grandma Evie in Mpls. She even traveled to TX to visit Brad and Carol.

Nancy enjoyed playing golf and spent endless hours working at the hospital. She always said, “I love life!” She could cook, clean, grill and had a great sense of humor. She cherished her grandchildren; She truly did love life and everyone in it. Nancy was a Christian and it radiated to others through her words and actions. She is now a true Angel in Heaven.

Nancy Ann will be dearly missed by her children, Cheryl(Eric) Egolf of Santa Barbara, CA; Angie Erdmann of San Francisco, CA; grandchildren Joslyn, Brooklyn, Oliver, and Kylo; life partner, Barrett Johnson; brothers: John(Jane) Munn of Woodbury, MN, brother-in-laws: Dave(Margaret) Thompson of Eagan, MN, Brad(Carol) Thompson of Houston, TX, sister-in-law Elaine Munn, and Mother, Evelyn Munn of Eagan, MN; many nieces and nephews, and by all of her wonderful coworkers at Essentia Hospital. Also, by WDAY, who shared her battle with ALS to raise awareness. She will be missed by FM community, ALS Associaton, ALS ONE, and everyone around the globe.

Nancy was preceded in her death by her father, Gerald Munn, mother, Mary Munn, sister, Kathleen Munn, and brothers, Gary and Steve Munn.
