DeAyn Germolus Lerud. 65, Dilworth, MN, died Friday, August 30, 2019, at her residence of natural causes.
DeAyn was born in Ada, MN, on March 26, 1954, the daughter of Leonard “Bud” and Jean (Thompson) Germolus. She grew up in Ada where she attended school and graduated from Ada High School. DeAyn was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Ada where she was confirmed. She also attended the University of Minnesota-Crookston. She spent most of her life in the country. DeAyn and her mom (Jean) were best friends her whole life and almost inseparable. DeAyn intensely loved her kids and grandkids. She had a lifelong love of horses and a deep affection for all animals. She also enjoyed
crocheting, fishing and country music. She was known to be hopelessly generous and enjoyed gift-giving.
DeAyn was blessed with her children who survive her; Bobbi Germolus of Ada and Dustin Lerud of Detroit Lakes, MN. Other survivors include her mother, Jean Germolus, Fargo, ND, her brother, Rick Germolus, Dilworth, MN, her grandchildren; Andrew Franks, Nathan Mundt, Cameron Franks, Kingsley Mundt, Amy Mundt, Corey Lerud, and Vivian Lerud, and her aunt Nancy Brekke. She was preceded in death by her father, her aunt Ethel Petry, several uncles; Ronnie Thompson, Howard Thompson, Don Petry, Bob Thompson, Ernie Thompson, her grandparents Katie and Gene Germolus, and Nettie and Henry Thompson.
Celebration of Life Service: 1:00PM, Saturday, September 14, 2019, at Fredrikson-Ganje Funeral Home in Ada, MN.
Visitation: Saturday from 11:00AM to 1:00PM at the funeral home.
