Nancy Lee Daugherty went home to her Lord on September 24, 2019, surrounded by family love at Essentia Health, Fargo ND at the age of 84. Nancy Wagner was born on July 25, 1935, to Minnie Schindler Wagner Bruskrud and Leroy Eugene Wagner, Fargo ND. She attended Agassiz and Fargo Central High Schools, graduating in 1953. She worked in Fargo until she married William Daugherty on March 18, 1954. They lived in Whitehall, Michigan, at Camp Claybanks where William was in the army. They moved back to Wolverton to farm in 1955, where Nancy got used to being a farmer’s wife.
She is survived by husband, William, Wolverton; son, Steven (Engie), Aberdeen SD; daughter, Debra (Robert) Evenson, Wahpeton ND; son, Paul (Heidi), Wolverton; son, David (Penelope), Wolverton; 12 grandchildren: Lanorah, Madison, Cloe and Hayley Daugherty; Melissa (Sam) Rustan; Lindsey (Bill) Wrigley; Erin (Brian) Meadows; Andrea, Austin (Olivia) and Allen Daugherty; Allison and Ashley Daugherty; 6 great grandchildren, Sigrun, Mirielle and Sarah Rustan; Elin and Billy Wrigley; Minna Meadows; sisters, Joanne Farmer, Fort Collins CO and Jane (Mike) Roark, Fort Collins CO; nephews, Evan Matthew Roark, Jonathan (Teresa) Roark and nieces-in-law, Marsha Nelson, Greenville IL; Diane (Steve) Curll, Vandalia IL, and several grand nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father in 1938, mother in 1998, stepfather, Chester O. Bruskrud, in 1958, half-brother, Lewis Wyman Schindler, nephew, Nicholas Roark, sister-in-law Opal (Melvin) Earing,
Nancy enjoyed attending a women’s Bible study group for many years and game nights with the family.
No service is being planned. A family gathering will be held at a later date.
