Dona Joy Robideau of Fargo, ND formerly of LaMoure, ND passed away November 19, 2020 at Villa Maria in Fargo.
She was born November 12, 1951 at LaMoure, ND to Don and Rosemary (Kniefel) Robideau. She was baptized at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, LaMoure, ND. Dona was one of nine children.
She attended school in LaMoure, Ellendale, Milnor and Lisbon and obtained her GED at Woodrow Wilson Alternative High School in Fargo. LaMoure was Dona’s hometown, but Fargo was her home. Dona lovingly provided care for the children of many families over the years, many of whom she maintained a lifelong connection with. Especially dear to her heart were her nieces and nephews.
Despite many health challenges, Dona retained a positive outlook and lived a life of joy. She was very active in her early years. She enjoyed bowling, walking, and especially bicycling. Dona could be seen bicycling all over Fargo.
Dona was a friendly, honest, and giving individual with a heart of gold. She loved to teach and play games with the kids, but you better not cheat!! Some of Dona’s other favorite things included crafting, crocheting washcloths, Coca-Cola, popcorn, and Hershey chocolate bars.
Dona will be lovingly remembered by many for her kind heart, giving nature, and joyful spirit. She will be greatly missed by her siblings; Mary Nivens, Georgia (Jud) Phelps, Tim Robideau, Carol Sandness, Jim (Vicki) Robideau, Julie Haberman, Ric (Barb) Robideau, and Lori (Dean) Haberman, her 18 nieces and nephews; Don Dosch, Scott Nivens, Lisa Jeske, Sarah Kittell, Mandy Siedschlag, Lacy Andersen, Kristi Albertson, Bob Sandness, Cody Robideau, Matt Sandness, Ben Sandness, Logan Robideau, Cali Haberman, Hope Coleman, Jill Wald, Marisa Krekelberg, Adam Haberman, Abby Haberman, 17 great nieces and nephews, and one of her dearest friends of 48 years, Mrs. Kay Johnson.
Dona’s family is planning a spring burial at Holy Rosary Cemetery in LaMoure.
