Doris Maxine Dahlberg, 87, died peacefully on November 22, 2020, under the care of Hospice, surrounded by her loving family.
Doris was born on May 22, 1933, in Lake Park, MN, the daughter of Stanley and Inga Jellum.
Doris married Marvin Dahlberg on July 15, 1950. They moved to Fargo where they made their home while raising their children. After Marvin’s death, she built a home in Moorhead with her daughter Lisa and two grandsons.
Doris always said that the only job she wanted in life was to be a mother. She got that wish and raised nine wonderful children. She instilled many valuable qualities in them including honesty, integrity, a willingness to help others and a strong faith.
Doris was a homebody and loved spending all of her time with family. She was passionate about her love for music, especially her private concerts performed by her son Mark at home or during her visits to Minneapolis.
She is survived by her children, Mona (Ron) McLean, Fargo, Becky (Michael) Volness, Fargo, Kay Dahlberg (daughter-in-law), Hawley, Jennifer (Michael) Breuer, New York Mills, Michael (Shannon) Dahlberg, Moorhead, Mary (Kate) Dahlberg, Crystal, Lisa Schmidt, Moorhead, Juli (Steven) LaFlamme, Moorhead and Mark (Bob) Dahlberg, Minneapolis; her grandchildren, Sarah, Jessica, Chelsea, Ian, Colin, Alyssa, Landon, Sean, Jessica, Abby, Hayden and Olivia; four great grandchildren, Katelyn, Ashlyn, Jack and Cole. She is also survived by one sister, Bernice Amstrup, Fargo; sister-in-law, Veronica Nylander, Audubon; brother-in-law, Oren Erickson, Moorhead; and many special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Marvin, son Jeff; her parents; three sisters, Gladys, Irene and Marian; two brothers, Ernest and Lawrence; and sister-in-law, Rosemary Parker.

A private family service will be held and burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo.
