Rebecca Ellen Augustine, age 60, of Fargo, died August 26, 2021, surrounded by her family.
Rebecca was born, October 29, 1960, in Minneapolis to Donald and Kathleen Larson Augustine. She attended Holy Angels Academy, Richfield, MN and St. Catherine University, St. Paul, MN. She received her B.A. in Sociology from North Dakota State University and several degrees in seminary and was a lifelong learner across a wide variety of disciplines. Rebecca was the Chancellor of St. Joan of Arc Theological Institute for Gnostic and Metaphysical Studies and the Senior Pastor of the Church of St. Sophia.
Her life’s work was that of Pastor, spiritual leader, officiant, author and editor, mother, and friend to all.
Among her countless hobbies and interests, Rebecca greatly enjoyed gardening, spending time in nature, cooking and sharing food with friends and family.
Rebecca is survived by her husband, Mike, children, Brynden Wallin (Lee) and Barrett Rider (Ashley Schmidt), Chris Augustine, Amber Sather, three beloved grandchildren, the father of Rebecca’s children Brent Rider, and many other dear family members, by blood and by the bonds of close friendship.
