Christine Margaret Mannie

Chris Mannie, 70, Fargo, ND, passed away March 7, 2023, in her home with her family. Her funeral will be held at Faith United Methodist Church on 19th Ave N in Fargo, Monday, March 13th at 11:00 AM. She will be laid to rest in Tolna Cemetery later this spring.
Chris was born Christine Margaret Hanson on April 19, 1952, in Devils Lake, ND at Mercy Hospital. She grew up in rural Warwick, ND and graduated from Warwick High School in 1970. Her education continued at UND and after a few years break, she graduated in 2000 from NDSU with an accounting degree. Her work life consisted of a variety of jobs including accounting for Mannie Construction, sports photography and reporting, realtor, running a small business making custom mats and frames, and her final job was accounting for Dabbert Custom Homes in Fargo.
While in high school Chris met the love of her life, Clark Mannie on a hayride. She baked him a cake after learning it was his birthday that day and he was hooked! They were married on June 3, 1972 and celebrated their 50thAnniversary this past summer with their entire family at their home.
Chris was talented at and enjoyed many activities over the years including sewing, scrapbooking, cross-stitching, collecting dolls, giving gifts, shopping for a deal, and photography. She loved to bake cakes for each family birthday and set up for family photos every time the family got together.
Chris will be remembered and deeply missed by her husband, Clark, her sons and their spouses, Chad of Hazen, ND, Cory & Amber of Austin, TX, Clint & Paula of Fergus Falls, MN, and Clayton & Rechaye, Valley City, ND; grandchildren Jade, Caleb, Cohan, Milania, Marianna, & Cillian; brothers and sisters, Barbara (Roger) Eversvik, Lester (Colleen) Hanson, Phyllis (Lee) Christianson, Curtis (Zannetta) Hanson, Janice (Richard) Thompson, Steven (Donna) Hanson, Calvin (Vivian) Hanson, Linda JoAnn (Gary) Matthews, Joyce (Greg) Olson.
She was preceded in death by parents Lawrence & Linda Hanson and infant brother, Rodger.
