Deborah “Debbie” Kay Kuehl

Deborah “Debbie” Kay Kuehl, 69, of Dilworth, MN, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, under the care of hospice surrounded by her family at Bethany on University, Fargo, ND. Deborah Kay Whaley was born on June 28, 1952, in Moorhead, MN, to Vernon and Bernice (Jacob) Whaley. At an early age, Debbie and the family moved from Fargo/Moorhead to Glyndon, MN, where she grew up and graduated from high school in 1970. Following high school, she continued her education at Moorhead Technical College. On August 14, 1971, Debbie married Robert “Bob” Kuehl, her high school sweetheart. Together they made their home and raised their family in rural Glyndon. Over the years, she enjoyed working in accounting for the Glyndon Grain Company, Felton Farmers Elevator, and West Central Ag Services, where she worked as the Financial Controller until retirement in Ulen, MN. Debbie enjoyed spending summers at their lake homes on Lake Sallie and then for the past several summers on Big Detroit Lake. Her favorite pastime was reading and enjoying her dachshund dogs. Most of all she loved time with family and friends. She will be dearly missed.

Debbie is survived by her husband of 50 years, Robert; sons, Brian (Laurie) Kuehl, Kevin Kuehl (Heather Langer); grandson, Carter Langer; brothers, Steve (Cindy) Whaley and Gary Whaley; brothers-in-law, Wayne (Kathy) Kuehl, Fred (Angie) Kuehl; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Bernice; father and mother-in-law, Glenn and Mildred Kuehl; brother and sister-in-law, Dale and Tracy Kuehl.

Visitation will be Monday, May 9, from 5 - 7 p.m., followed by a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Glyndon Lutheran Church, Glyndon, MN.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, May 10, at 11 a.m., at Trinity Lutheran Church, Moorhead, MN.

Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Glyndon, MN.

The family would like to thank the staff at Bethany on University and Hospice of the Red River Valley for the wonderful, loving care of Debbie.
