Dennis E. Soberg, 77, of Fargo, ND passed away on January 25th, 2023, after a month long stay in the hospital following a fall. He died surrounded by his family.

Dennis was born in Fargo, North Dakota on February 10, 1945, to Kenneth and Frances (Johnson) Soberg. Dennis was the ninth of ten children. The family lived near Harwood until Dennis started high school and then moved to a farm in rural Argusville. Dennis loved to play basketball and was on the student council.

Dennis married Connie Hodgson on February 20, 1965. Together they raised two daughters. Dennis worked for Western Electric during those years. He enjoyed snowmobiling and playing whist and pinochle. After they divorced in 1984, Dennis moved to Minnesota. On November 25, 1986, he married Carol Blomster in Reno, Nevada. For the next 19 years they made their home in Coon Rapids and Maple Grove, Minnesota. Dennis worked for Yellow Freight during those years. It was during this time that he became a Grandfather six times over. He also took up golf in Minnesota, but it just made him crabby. After his divorce from Carol in 2005, he retired from Yellow Freight and returned to the Fargo area. Upon his retirement, Dennis enjoyed spending more time with his family. He loved to hunt and fish with his brothers and brothers-in-law, especially their trips to Lake of the Woods. In 2008, he met Norma and they spent his remaining years together. He enjoyed his Harwood Senior Citizen outings and reconnecting with old friends.

Dennis is survived by his two daughters, Lisa (Scott) Satermo of Fargo, and Tracy (Dan) Beecher of Horace; his grandchildren Amanda (Michael) Hurley, Jackson Satermo, Sawyer Faltersack, Luke (Alexis) Faltersack and Taylor (Riley) Faltersack; his eight great-grandchildren Braden, Alayna, Emsley, Eden, Hadleigh, Carsyn, Rowynn and Cooper.
