Jennette E. Rindahl

Jennette Evangeline (Forness) Rindahl, 91, left this world peacefully on Tuesday, May 2, 2023.
Jennette was born to Olga (Wold) and Helmer Forness on May 4, 1931. She grew up on the family farm in Colfax, ND and graduated from Richland High School. She then moved to Wahpeton and attended Wahpeton State School of Science.
Jennette fell in love and married Jerome (Bud) Rindahl on August 1, 1953 at Richland Church.
Her career started as a secretary for the ELCA Council of Churches. She then worked as the church secretary for Calvary United Methodist Church for several years before retiring. The “other” job was raising 6 children, 5 boys and 1 girl, and at 91 did not have a gray hair on her head.
She was a very strong-willed woman with always a positive outlook. She would fight through life believing that even an aspirin was more than she needed.
After retirement Jennette & Bud enjoyed spending their summers at Meadow Lake, MN and traveling to visit all their children and grandchildren. Jennette was a very active member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and a regular in the weekly quilting group.
She dearly loved all her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and spent as much time as she could with each of them attending as many of their activities as possible.
She is survived by her sister, Marilyn Hendrickson, sons; Brent (Janet), Blake (Virginia), Barry (Michelle), Brock (Darcy); daughter, Brenda (Ron), 17 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
Jennette was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome (Bud); parents, Olga and Helmer Forness; son, Bradley; brother, Donald; sister-in-Law, Marilyn Forness; and nephews, Kirk Rindahl, Mark Hendrickson and Kevin Rindahl.
A Memorial Service will be held at Boulger Funeral Home on Friday, May 12, 2023.
