Neil Buringrud

Neil Buringrud, 72, Harwood, North Dakota passed away on Monday, May 15, 2023, in the comfort of his home.

Neil was born on May 15, 1951 in Fargo, North Dakota to Einar and Marian (Oien) Buringrud.

Neil graduated from Argusville High School in 1969 and went on to attend the Wahpeton State School of Science (NDSSS). He spent many years dedicated to and working on the family farm before moving to Harwood.

Neil was an avid sports fan and loved to reminisce about his pitching days for various fastpitch softball teams and playing basketball at NDSSS when they won the national championship, but he was best known for his pool playing.

Neil is survived by his son, Ryan; daughter, Candace; brother, Dave; sisters and brothers-in-law, Barb (Jim) Burley, and Julie (Ernesto) Ortiz-Chirinos; several nieces and nephews, cousins, aunt and uncles. His life ended too soon and he will be missed by many.

Neil was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Rick.

A family gathering will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Boulger Funeral Home in Fargo. A Celebration of Life for friends and family will be held at a later date.
