Steven C. Hanson died unexpectedly on Feb 3, 2022 at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND at the age of 65. A blood clot in his Aorta artery was the cause.

Steve was born in Moorhead, MN, where he lived most of his life, until moving in 2019 to Dilworth, Mn. He graduated from Dilworth High School, where he excelled in long distance running on the track team, once running the fastest time in the mile run at the state finals.

Steve went on to coach track at both Dilworth and various local schools for many years. He was a lifelong fan of most athletic sports, both local and national. Spending his time at the Roasted Rail, his favorite local coffee shop, and restaurants, he enjoyed the company of people. Steve also much enjoyed his several pet birds. He attended the First Presbyterian Church in Dilworth. Steve loved and trusted God and the Bible; he didn’t hide his faith in going to Heaven and meeting God when that time came.

His working career was mostly in retail sales.

He leaves behind his brother Mark (Julie & Seth)Hanson, longtime friend and companion Gayle Mckillop, uncle Curt Hanson, local cousin Dan Hanson, and several other cousins.
