Steven Ray Deibel

Steven Ray Deibel, 41, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 26, 2023 in Fargo, ND.
Steve was born to Debbie Paulson and James Deibel Sr. on August 25, 1981 in Fargo, ND. He was raised in Park Rapids, MN by his mother and Bill Paulson. After high school, Steve made Fargo, ND his home. He became a first time father in 2000 with the birth of his son Gage Puckett. He met the love of his life Gina Dahlgren and was united in marriage in 2003. They welcomed the birth of their son Jayden Deibel in 2005. Steve and Gina were married for 11 years and remained best friends until his passing.
Steve later married Maya Steen in 2016. They shared a home in Moorhead, MN with their blended family. Steve became a great bonus dad to Maya’s son, Christian. Steve worked in metal fabrication for over 20 years with Crary Industries and later CNH in Fargo, ND. He enjoyed assembling and fixing anything he could, even with just looking at YouTube videos. To many, he was a great handy-man and always willing to help.
Steve had a passion for the outdoors, especially the ocean. He loved to travel with family and friends any chance he could. He enjoyed camping and fishing with friends and family in Cormorant, MN. Steve listened to every genre of music, especially his favorite band Pink Floyd. He frequented concerts and local sporting events. This included cheering on his favorite teams, the Minnesota Twins and Vikings. On weekends, Steve enjoyed the simple things in life like chatting with friends, brewing beer, and playing pool. Steve had a passion for cooking and creating delicious meals for his loved ones. Especially sharing his love for crab legs, pasta, and sushi. Most of all, he had the most infectious smile and was always there to cheer you up and give the biggest hug.
Steve’s beautiful life will be cherished in the lives of all he met. He is survived by his children, Gage Puckett and Jayden Deibel; parents Debbie Paulson, James Deibel Sr. (Debbie), and Bill Paulson; brothers Jeff (Maegan) Paulson and James Deibel; sisters Melissa (Brian) Erlandsen and Ashley (JJ) Shumway; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, and dearest friends.
Preceding him in death were his grandparents Tom and Adeline Hill, Sue Paulson, and Maury and Joan Deibel. Along with his beloved aunts and uncles.

This ceremony will be held in the Main Conference Center located in Courtyard by Marriott Moorhead, MN.
