Pamela Jean Ellison Schnieder
Pam was born September 1, 1952 in LaMoure, ND to Marvie (Kale) and Johnny Ellison. During the years they lived in the cities of LaMoure, Edgeley, Oriska and during the 60’s came to Oakes where the family continued to live. The family had a restaurant business and Pam worked alongside of her parents in the business.
After graduating from Oakes with the class of 1970, she attended schooling learning the key punch which later was known as computer schooling. She remained in Fargo for a few years before returning to Oakes where she remained till her passing.
Pam and Bob Schnieder were married in 1979; and to this union Michael was born. Her life was filled with so much happiness with the addition of three grandchildren Michael, Robert and Isabel.
Pam worked at various jobs over the years including, Shafer Seed in Oakes Starion Insurance for five years and for the last 36 years she was with General Irrigation.
She was a member of the library board for many years. Pam had a passion for many things and everyone knew she loved Elvis. She was an avid reader, she loved music of the 50-60-70’s and she liked movies, Netflix and Judge Judy.
It wasn’t uncommon for her to visit with everyone she met on the street, classmates and her friends list was endless. Her memory of occasions, birthdays, and names were endless. For any trivia question we’d call Pam. She had beautiful penmanship and handwriting in calligraphy.
Pam’s last big purchase was a new black Cadillac which she was particularly proud of.
Her passing was extremely shocking as she only had a stomach ache which in the end took her life with an obstruction in her. Four weeks and her life was taken on October 7, 2021, when she passed away at Sanford Hospice House.
She joined her heavenly family; her parents, Bob’s parents and brother, her grandparents, brother-in-law and many friends as well.
She will be forever loved and missed by her husband Bob; son Michael (Katie Tschapatt) Schnieder of Fargo; grandchildren, Robert, Michael and Isabel; siblings, Marva Rodine of Glyndon, MN, Bonnie (Mel) Bohnenkamp, Fertile, MN, Dan (Patti) Ellison, Louisville, KY and Becky (Steve) Minge, Mound, MN; nieces, nephews and dear friends and family who loved and cherished her love and friendship.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 11, 2021 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. followed by a sharing of memories at 10:30 a.m. and Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Oakes. Burial will be at St. Charles Catholic Cemetery near Oakes. Pam’s funeral will be live streamed on the Dahlstrom Funeral Home website www.dahlstromfuneralhome.com on her obituary page.
