Richard (Dick) Timothy Wirth

Richard (Dick) Timothy Wirth, 78, of Detroit Lakes passed away on March 18, 2021 under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Born in Iowa to Benjamin Wirth and Lillian Otterson Mjors, he lived the majority of his life in Detroit Lakes, MN. Dick was a Vietnam Veteran, an Insurance Agent, an Auxillary Policeman, Quarter Master and later manager of the Detroit Lakes VFW.

In 1965 he married Carla Jirava. In their 25 years of marriage they had 5 children.

He is survived by his daughters: Rhonda (Tom) Peters, Rosemont, MN, Pamela (Jeff) Fleck, Bismarck, ND, LeeAnn (Patrick) Tomko, Bloomington, MN, Tiffany (Jason) Ness, Moorhead, MN and his son, Trevor Wirth, St. Cloud, MN. He had 7 grandchildren. Brothers Duane (Sue) Wirth, Gene Wirth. Sisters: Barb Moser, Sheri Amundson, Stepsister Kim (Wesley) Borah, and Sister-in-law Barb Wirth.

Preceding him in death were his parents, brother Mike and brother-in-law Duane Moser.

Dick was cremated and will be laid to rest at a later date.
