Ruth Rostberg

Ruth Eleanor (Williams) Rostberg, of Northwood, ND, passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2021 at the age of 98 years, 9 months.

Ruth was born on August 30, 1922 at Arvilla, ND, the daughter of Hugh and Clara (Porter) Williams. She moved with her family to Emerado where she attended school, graduating in 1939. She worked at the Grand Forks County Home in Arvilla. After the hospital burned down, she worked in the Larimore facility. Ruth was united in marriage to Orrin Rostberg on September 12, 1942. They farmed together in Hegton Township, rural Arvilla, where they raised their three children, Dale (Carolynn), Duane (Diane) and Rita (Jeff) Mazer, whom she is survived by.

She is also survived by grandchildren: Kimberly (Scott) Parks, Chad (Katie) Violet, and Meghan Mazer; five great-grandchildren: Chris Parks, Loren Parks, Ellie Violet, Sydney Violet and Liam Violet; step-grandchildren: Kari Leen and Kristann Leen. She dearly loved her nieces, nephews and her Arvilla cousins. She is preceded in death by her husband Orrin on October 13, 2004; her parents and grandson Wes Scholer.

GRAVESIDE SERVICES will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 4, 2021 at Bellevue Cemetery, Larimore.
