Steve Nirschl

Steve Nirschl, 71, of West Fargo, passed away unexpectedly in his home while watching the Minnesota Twins game on Monday, May 3, 2021.

Steven Robert Nirschl was born on Oct. 26, 1949 in Saint Paul, MN to Robert and Christine Nirschl. He was raised by his grandma, dad, and step-mom Janice in Ada, MN. He attended school in Ada and graduated from high school there, after which he was drafted into the U. S. Army. He later attended several colleges to become a respiratory therapist, a profession he would follow for the rest of his life.

He married Vicki and they had one child, Stefani. He was later united in marriage to Dianne and they had two children, Tiffani and Cody.

Steve loved to fish, woodworking and carving, and was an avid Minnesota Twins and Vikings fan. He also liked drawing and playing pinochle.

He is survived by his wife, Dianne; mother, Christine; children, Stefani, Tiffani, and Cody; 5 grandchildren, Kendra, Kayla, Madison, Katelyn, and Kaden; siblings, Mike, Connie, Robin, Yvonne, Paul, and Patty; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Carl and Amelia; and his parents, Robert and Janice. Memorial Service: Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in St. Andrew Lutheran Church, West Fargo, with visitation one hour prior to the service.
