Virginia “Ginny” Moll
Virginia “Ginny” Lee Moll, 81, entered her heavenly home with family by her side on January 6, 2021, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law’s (Lynn and Tim Barber) in Fair Oaks Ranch, TX, after a courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis.
Ginny was born on July 24th, 1939 to Orlin and Helen Maanum in Alexandria, MN. She attended Hoffman High School, where she formed several life-long friendships that meant so much to her. Upon graduating high school in 1957, she went on to study nursing and enjoyed a long nursing career followed by employment with Steiger Tractor and as a domestic housekeeper in the Fargo-Moorhead area.
Some would refer to Ginny as the salt of the earth. She was blessed with many talents and always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.
Ginny married Stanley L. Moll on April 1, 1967, in Lowry, MN, and began a wonderful life in Moorhead, MN, with their two daughters, Lynn and Julie.
Ginny was preceded in death by her father, mother, husband, step-son, Jeffrey Moll, and dear friend and companion, Richard “Bud” Johnson. Ginny is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Laurel “Skip” and Vicki Maanum, two daughters, Lynn (Tim) Barber and Julie Moll, step-son, Rob (Sue) Moll, daughter-in-law, Deborah Moll, niece, Andrea (Greg) Danielson, two nephews, Erik Maanum, Michael (Andrea) Maanum, six grandchildren, Joshua (Kayla) Emmerich, Jenaah (Jim) Nyhof, Nick Barber and Casey Barber, Chadwick Johnson, and Jason Moll, and two great-grandchildren Jackson and Ellianna Emmerich.
A family celebration of Ginny’s life will be held at a later date in Moorhead, MN. A very special thank you to the staff of Heart of Texas Hospice, Spring Branch, TX, for the amazing care, compassion, and grace given our family during these past several months. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Heart of Texas Hospice or the Hospice organization of your choice.
