WEST FARGO — The artwork of area children will soon be featured in a community art piece to be installed in a neighborhood here this fall.
River's Bend Corp. collaborated with Goddard School of Fargo, Bright Futures Learning Center and Dakota Montessori School to gather drawings created by children showing their favorite things to do in the area, according to a press release.
The images will be digitized, printed on vinyl and applied to a structure to be installed in River's Bend, a residential neighborhood in West Fargo located southwest of Costco.
“We want to bring positivity and light into our neighborhoods and community,” Rick Burgum, a developer with River’s Bend Corp., said in a press release. “As we were brainstorming ways we could do this, we couldn’t think of a better way than from the eyes — and hands — of the children who are the life of Fargo neighborhoods.”
Each of the participating child care centers will receive a gift of $500.
