There are so many challenges facing America as we know it, it can be hard to know which fight to join these days. It’s beyond obvious that the political power derived by the combination of President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Speaker Nancy Pelosi is a drug they cannot resist. Blue state big cities are feeding at the trough of the inflation inducing spending spree. Rural America red states get sacrificed in the name of the “Climate Action” plan, a “transformation” of America and pouring gas on the racial fires.
Energy and agriculture are public enemy No. 1. Team Biden might as well issue a wanted poster for the people that feed and fuel the world. They literally advocate for a Russian pipeline while cancelling the Keystone XL Pipeline. How is that for a bumper sticker? Go Russia. Death to USA Energy. They cheer coal plants closing here while remaining silent on China’s 88 new coal plants under construction. Our farmers and ranchers are in for a fight over land use with the EPA revisions to President Trump’s common sense regulation known as the Navigable Waters Protection Rule. Meanwhile, animal agriculture is fighting the perfect storm of a drought, the insane “beef is bad and cows pollute” mantra plus consolidation of the beef packing industry.

This is not your father’s Democratic Party. Minnesota’s iconic Hubert Humphrey and JFK were right wing nuts compared to this crowd.
Biden is trying to ram a $64 trillion 10-year budget through Congress. And we’re supposed to be happy that national defense managed to eke out a 1.6% increase, meaning there is a real dollar cut in defense.
The reversal of the Trump “remain in Mexico” policy has our borders being invaded. I have been there to see it with my own eyes. Fifteen minutes on the Rio Grande river was enough to see illegal border crossings of a half dozen Venezuelans, a passport from Haiti, a Cuban ID card, bus tickets from Guatemala, and a round trip airplane ticket from Colombia to Mexico City. I interviewed three young mothers from Honduras who breezed through TSA security lines with free plane tickets, all while border patrol officials cannot hide their disgust at how the progress made over four years is being undone in weeks.
So much is coming at us so fast.
Does anyone, anywhere believe this last election wasn’t riddled with shenanigans? Meanwhile, if you think people should have to show an ID to vote, you are a racist, right?
Evidence is growing that the COVID-19 virus was born in a lab in Wuhan, China. Where do we send the bill for 604,000 American deaths and trillions in damages?
Republicans are on defense. We can count a few victories in slowing this woke freight train. I wouldn’t trade North Dakota’s Congressional delegation for any other in America. Sens. John Hoeven and Kevin Cramer and Rep. Kelly Armstrong are playing an important role in this battle. Our only hope in the short term is to thwart the agenda and expose the corruption. The polling is looking good for 2022. Let’s pray we have that long. I’m not sure we’ll recognize America by then.
