Where have our manners gone? It seems people have forgotten those simple phrases, such as "excuse me" and "thank you." Don't get me wrong, some people are very pleasant, but there seems to be an overwhelming number of impolite people.
I work part-time at a local retailerstocking shelves and am also a full-time student at North Dakota State University. I'm aware my job is simple and doesn't require a lot of training or expertise, but thatdoesn't excuse people from using common courtesy when asking me a question.
There's nothing I love more than when customers ask me a question, I politely tell them the answer, and they just simply walk away without saying a word. I don't expect them to get my address and send me a thank you card or invite me to their annual Christmas party, but a simple "thank you" goes a long way.
