Becky Barker letter: Real Bison fans stay until the end

I enjoy every game and have been a Bison fan for approximately 30 years. I am writing to vent my disappointment with many in attendance at the game on Saturday. For many years now we have been entertained by the football team and have enjoyed many winning seasons. While Saturday's game didn't end up as we would have hoped, the final quarter was excellent and many in attendance at the beginning of the game missed it.

It has been a practice of Bison fans for a long time now, to leave early. Why, I will never understand. When I go to a game, I stay for a whole game, and how I wish they could have won on Saturday mostly for the players and coaching staff, I really wish they would have pulled it off for the "fans" that left after halftime or the third quarter to prove you should stay and support your team for four quarters. I think it is appalling that people leave when the kids out on the field are working as hard as they can to win a game, and they look in the stand after half a game and people are streaming for the exits.

Come on, folks, have a heart, use your hands and voice to make some noise, and support your team, no matter who it is, for the whole game!
